My kids don't have that issue (they built a roly poly habitat in Will's water table on Saturday complete with dirt, water, grass, tree bark and more), but the activities add an additional educational element to the outdoor time. For example, the first Spring activity is to look for signs of Spring - buds on a tree, flowers, new growth, etc. It also reminds me to point out textures like the soft blades of grass under our feet, and to do somersaults on the grass or roll down a hill. All are fun ideas that my kiddos will love while learning more about the great outdoors.
We plan to do the first activity this afternoon after naptime - I'll keep you posted on our favorite ideas!
